didnt get a lot of time, raid wise due to real life schedules, but i have 2 observations.

1) is obvious from tonight, make sure we have a raid lead designated when stynus cant be on.

2) we need to start being more frugal with battle rez's. when we get to the hard fights we will need them and currently we burn them too early. if you check raid parses people aren't even using healing pots. this should be a require,ment for raiders. it conserves healer mana , which is crucial and also we should all be doing what ever can to stay alive.

this may not be the best place for this question, but I'm curious about a mechanic - do healing potions share the same cooldown (1 per battle) as DPS potions (eg, volcanic potion, potion of the tol'vir, etc)?

sadly yes, and ive found that on certain fights i have the" hp freedom", if you will, to use a golemblood potion rather than healing, but on new content and healing intensive fights i forgo additional dps in favor of longevity. seems to be the meme of the new expansion.
